As you might know, we have been in the process of building a Gurudwara in Central Jersey. Over the last few years our small sangat has focused on  collecting funds and to date we have raised over $150,000 from the local sangat and the gurudwaras in the area and bought 23 acres of land.

Additionally, the local sangat of about 30 families has committed to contributing over $4000 a month on a regular basis, using the direct deposit system. We need to take this number to $8000 per month to pay for the loan and day today running of the Gurudwara

This is the reason for the appeal. We hope that many families like yourself who agree with our stance of putting the kids first, of following the Sikh Rehat Maryada and of making sure that our children learn Panjabi and Shabad Kirtan, Sikh history and philosophy, will contribute. Any amount that you can contribute on a regular basis is acceptable.
